Between April 1st and May 15th the search is on to find the new O’Neill Girl. But it’s not just any girl who will make the cut – it’s a girl who has the guts to jump off the end of the One Way Runway!
The Superkini is the newest addition to the world of swimwear, brought to you by O'Neill. It's made from a new nanofront™ material which clings to your body whilst wet, keeping you looking sexy both in and out of the water... and whilst jumping off cliffs.
The One Way Runway competition is being held by O'Neill for the launch of the Superkini. The One Way Runway is being held to find the newest O'Neill girl, and the face of the Superkini S/S 2012 Campaign. What's the One Way Runway, you ask? Well, it is literally just a one way runway... forget strutting your stuff down for a pose and a twirl and back again, once you've walked down the One Way Runway you'll be jumping off a cliff top into the sea in sunny Ibiza.
To be in the chance of winning, all you need to do is visit www.facebook.com/oneillgirls and upload a photo of yourself which shows why you should be the face of the O'Neill Superkini. 12 finalists will be chosen on May 13th, and submissions are open now. 3 of the 12 will be the top three girls with the most votes on the Facebook page, and the remaining 9 will be hand picked by the judging panel, which is made up of supermodel Elyse Taylor of Victoria’s Secret, Surfer Rain Jackson, top fashion editors and O’Neill Marketing Team member.
The only restrictions are that you must be over 18 years old, and you must have a valid passport to travel to Ibiza for the One Way Runway competition. Finalists will be flown out to the island on June 7 - 10th, 2011.
If you submit a photo, the application gives you the option to post it to your Facebook wall, allowing all your friends and family to vote for you, too, boosting your chances at becoming a finalist! The lucky 12 finalists will be announced on May 13, and all event pictures, the model posts/blogs and the movies from the event on Ibiza will all be posted on Facebook after the 10th of June.
The overall winner of the O’Neill One Way Runway competition, will be flown out to a photo shoot on a secret beach location in September 2011 to star in the Spring/Summer 2012 campaign.
